Blogging

Have you ever gotten so wrapped up in life that you just for get about blogging or writing or anything? That’s been me.

I have gotten on this kick to get healthy. And it has eaten up my time. I’m trying to do fork over knifes and trying to walk more and started a 5 am workout with a coach. May be I have bitten off a little more then I can chew.

I did make a goal that is really pushing all of this. I want to walk the AT within the next three years. If my husband tries. If he doesn’t. I’m gone. I’ll do it alone. Sooooo, the walking and hack sake on my back as well. Begans.

Anyone out there walked the AT or PCT or other hikes?

Research research…

This week I have written some. But, yes. There is a but, I have done a lot of research.

There are times you have to stop and make sure you are getting sights and sounds down. Clothes and food right. And I was at that point. I needed to stop and make sure somethings were where I needed them to be.

I would tell you what I was looking for or at. But I have this thing that if I talk about what I’m writing, then it’s out there floating and someone else will feel, it, and they will write it before me. So I never talk about my books till I’m on the first edits.

Strange. Yes. I am.

Happy writing. Happy life.

Time…

Time can help, or time can kill.

I’ve had to take some time way from blog, writing and all. I went to take care of my grandkids, so my daughter and her husband could go to Paris and Rome. To get to have that chance. They needed it.

So, I’m back. And next week I’ll talk about how taking a break my have help or may not have.

Characters

When you’re working a character do you really dig deep into them? Knowing every corner of their soul? Or do you just get the basics down, and see what happens along the way?

There are so many ways one can pull a character together. So many sheets one could fill with details. So many books on different ways you should handle it, but really, it’s all on you, you as the story teller, as to how far you want to go.
I always try to pull every detail out of them, to find myself writing and rewriting, because they were not who I thought they should be, they became who they needed to be.

So go, listen, breath life into those people who help you build your story. They’re in need of escaping your mind.

Floor plan

For the past few days I have been laying out a floor plan for the three story home my character lives in.

I want to make sure I have all the rooms in the right place, hidden stair, and all.

Does anyone else do this? Am I crazy for wasting my writing time on it?

I don’t have a group I can ask. I live to far from town. It’s just me. Pushing through. Trying to be a writer.

Bullet Journal

Does any one do Bullet Journaling or Time Tracking, or any type of tracking for your writing?

I try and write down every hour of the day as to what I’m doing. Am I writing? I’m I Facebooking? I’m I sitting watching TV?

Just write it down. The gaps of time or the gaps of “playing”, Facebook, TV, and such. That lets me know, hay, you have missed time to write.

But, am I always faithful or truthful??

No, truthful for the most part. Not faithful to writing everything down.

I’m always seeking ways to better myself. How about you? What are things you do?

Try…try!!

This New Year I’m going to try and be better at this blogging thing.

I wonder if other have just as much trouble as i at blogging?!

I have come up with new goals and a story outline that just needs the fluff added. I am writing it on my Mac pro and my iPhone. Which makes it so much easier to work.

My goals and deadline will have to be pushed back(not saying I totally will not work) by a month or so because I get to go keep my grandkids while my daughter and her hubby go to Paris, Rome and a few other places.

So this is my first of the year post. Sunday night I’ll try and have a better post.

Happy New Year.

Working

I had really been working on one story that I just thought “it’s the one”. You know. The one that will make you known too all.

Well, I’ve place it on the back burner.  There is a time for it, but it’s not now. I need to a stronger writer to make it the best.

So, in my need to write. I was just hanging out. Reading other things. Watching post from other Facebook writers. And one had posted a picture and said something about what an amazing story that could hold.

The whole story rushed in on me. Not anything like what she was thinking. Something so different. And different from what I normally write. I went with the flow of it all. So now I have a new idea, and I just need to make myself write the whole thing. Fill in the details. Bring it totally to life.

Happy story hunting. You never know where the hide.

The News

I know this has nothing to do with writing.

And then may be it does. People hiding behind a keyboard to trash a persons life or the choice of a Zoo.

If they had not killed the gorilla and the gorilla killed the boy, then the world would have been all over the zoo. If they had dart him and it fell on boy or drowned in the water it was sitting in then they would have been all over the Zoo.

If the parents had watch the child better and so on and so forth.

It’s heart breaking. But it saved the boy.

It was a true damned if you do and damned if you don’t moment.

Let move on.

List Makers

Are you a list maker? For your writing? For your life? List…

They can be…

List of words you use? Or shouldn’t use?

List of names for character’s?

List for speech? If you don’t use English.

List for love  scenes?

List for plots, goals, action?

Oh my…the list could go on.

You know, those list that are specialized just for you, your characters, your story or list for brainstorming.

Making list and then reading over them later can give you a solution that you may not have known you were looking for, or a thought that just changed everything.

What list do you keep? What ones are you thinking about now?

May be its list time.
